New Professor and research secretary

As a new Professor and research secretary, there are many systems you need to familiarize yourself with.

You can find help specific to your role on the Professor and Research Secretary page.

The Junior Researchers Development Programme

The programme is aimed at the university’s early-career researchers – including assistant professors, postdoctoral researchers, as well as researchers employed on a tenure-track pathway, and consists of four career tracks with associated course catalogues. Early-career researchers can choose the track that best suits them and their future career path.

Junior Researcher at Aarhus University serves as the programme’s platform, where both current and prospective early-career researchers can explore the programme and find relevant information on, among other things, vacant positions, funding opportunities, terms of employment, and collaborations with industry.

International researcher

If you are introducing an international researcher or student, support is available from International Academic Staff (IAS).

You can also find assistance at the International Centre (IC), for example with finding accommodation, applying for an Erasmus grant, or learning what to be aware of when going abroad.

At New to Denmark, you can find useful information for, among others, guest researchers.

Please note that there are special rules regarding PhD students.

As a newly appointed professor, you have the opportunity to give an inaugural lecture: How to organise an inaugural lecture.
