Staff Development Dialogue (SDD)

SDD - Staff Development Dialogue - is your opportunity to have an annual interview with your immediate superior about your work situation and your career plans, e.g.:

  • expectations alignment in relation to tasks
  • professional and career goals
  • skills development
  • collaborative relationships
  • well-being

For PhD students, the SDD topics are expected to be covered in connection with ongoing meetings with the main supervisor.

You can read more about SDD here and get help on how to prepare for a good employee development interview.

Teaching portfolio

If your employment includes teaching, you must maintain a teaching portfolio and discuss it with your manager, e.g. at your annual SDD.

The Department of Clinical Medicine has developed its own teaching portfolio, which you can find here. You can upload your teaching portfolio in MitHR.
