On Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. the Social Science and Humanities Research Platform at AU Health (BRIGHT) hosts a keynote lecture by Professor Eivind Engebretsen from the University of Oslo entitled: 'Bridging the Knowledge-to-Action Gap: The Role of Translational Medical Humanities’.
The lecture discusses the role of translational medical humanities, arguing that the challenge of translating knowledge into action in healthcare traditionally has been addressed through scientific frameworks such as implementation science and knowledge translation. The lecture explores the important role that the humanities can play in meeting this challenge, proposing a translational medical humanities approach to complement and enhance translational medical science.
The event will take place in the Eduard Biermann Auditorium, Lakeside Auditoriums at Aarhus University and is open to everyone. No registration is needed.
